History 

Founded by patriarch Philip Belz (1904 - 2000) in the early 1940s on a four-acre tract in north Memphis, the company’s first project was construction of several of the city’s first large industrial buildings. Belz, a leader in Memphis, Tennessee, is one of the South’s largest commercial developers and contractors with interests throughout the Mid-South and much of the country.  

As a pioneer in the design + build philosophy, Belz started offereing its in-house design and construction services to clients outside of its own real estate portfolio in 2003 and the Belz Architecture+Construction that we know today was formed. Since then, Belz Architecture+Construction has grown steadily to become one of the nations leading providers of the fully intergrated design-build approach - the ultimate in efficency and value. 

But for all of our growth and success, our future is firmly planted in the vision and ideals of our founder whose values we honor in every project we complete.
